Why is my Lenovo laptop so slow?

You’ll see that hibernate mode has been disabled.
Use the “Clean up with Disk Cleanup” tool
System utilities exist to help you keep your computer running efficiently. The Disk Cleanup tool is a good place to start. It scans all the system’s disks (both physical drives and the Windows 8 hard drive) for unnecessary files, cleaning up storage space.
The data it looks for depends on what version of Windows you’re using. If you have an older version, you’ll see only files that have been removed from your system. If you have a newer version, you’ll see files that are no longer being used as well as other files that you no longer need and haven’t yet deleted.

Buy A Solid State Hard Drive

Solid State Drive. A solid-state drive has no moving parts. The platters inside can spin at very high speed, but they don’t move when data is stored or retrieved. It’s similar to reading from a CD-ROM that runs at 66X speed instead of the standard CD-ROM speed of 33X. This increase in performance can make your laptop feel much faster.
Make Sure You Have Enough RAM
You’ll want to make sure your computer has enough RAM — the amount of RAM is related to how fast a computer runs. The more RAM, the better a machine will perform.
The maximum amount of RAM that can be installed on a Lenovo laptop is 4GB. This is because Lenovo does not include any SSD storage in this model. The laptop comes with a small 128GB SSD drive, which is not sufficient for the successful use of the device. The SSD will act as a cache for the operating system and applications, and for that reason, it’s advisable to use more RAM than the maximum allowed.

Update Your Drivers Regularly
The reason why your computer runs slow is that the drivers are out of date. You have to update them regularly.

Once you have it, plug the larger USB plug into your computer and insert the smaller USB plug into your USB port. The driver will then be downloaded automatically.
