Best Mouse For Video Editing

10 Best Mouse For Video Editing 2022 – Reviews & Guide

Choosing the Best Mouse For Video Editing is hard! I have tested gaming mouses, videos, read tons of reviews and still didn’t find what I looking for. That is why I decided to write a post about Best Mice For Video Editing and make a list of the best options.

When you edit videos, it is best that you use a mouse that has a good sensor, and doesn’t lag or skip. If it skips during an important part of the video, we might need to redo the whole video. Also, a mouse that is too sensitive can mess up parts of the video.

Usually, the best mouse for video editing is one with a DPI between 800 and 2500. We recommended if you just want to do gaming that you get a gaming mouse because those are generally different from other mice and are just made for games.

Which mouse is good for video editing?

When looking for a mouse for video editing, you need to first ensure that the mouse is comfortable. You will be using the mouse in your non-dominant hand, so you want it to feel as natural and comfortable as possible. Many mice that we looked at were very uncomfortable even after short periods of use.

The mice we picked are all ergonomic and very comfortable. They also have customizable weight systems so that you can adjust them to your liking.

When choosing a mouse for video editing, you need one that allows you to make quick, accurate movements across the screen. Although many mice are great and would work well for video editing, they aren’t designed specifically with the video editing in mind.

So, something like a gaming mouse might look good on paper but isn’t designed with the same precision as one designed specifically for video editing.

That being said, there are some gaming mice that do have great performance and high accuracy so take a look at our reviews if you have your heart set on a gaming mouse.

We also considered which software comes with the mouse and how much it costs to get more advanced features. When choosing a good mouse for video editing, you want one that comes with software that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to get

Things to consider before buying mice for video editing include size and ergonomics. For instance, a larger mouse can be suitable if you have wide hands or prefer a more ambidextrous shape, but the smaller ones are better if you have small hands or want a more comfortable grip.

Is a trackball good for Photoshop?

In general, trackballs are not good for Photoshop. The standard type of mouse is superior in most aspects. The main reason trackballs are not suitable for Photoshop is that they take a lot of getting used to. Using a standard mouse, you push and pull the device around the table. With a trackball, you move your fingers to move the pointer on the screen, which can be very awkward at first.

The MX Master 2S is an advanced wireless mouse that’s very comfortable to use, even for extended periods of time. It’s also outstanding for getting work done, which is why it’s our top pick for people who spend a lot of time on computers – especially creative professionals and those who use multiple devices.

The MX Master 2S has a rechargeable battery that lasts for about two months on a charge, and the ability to connect to three different devices simultaneously via Bluetooth or a USB dongle (the sleek Logitech Unifying Receiver).

The way the MX Master 2S connects to your devices is where it really gets interesting. The new Logitech Flow software allows you to move your cursor between your Mac and PC and copy/paste text, images, and files from one computer to the other. We don’t think this feature is necessary for everyone, but if you work between multiple computers throughout the day, Flow will make you more efficient.

The Razer Naga Trinity is our favorite MMO mouse thanks to its sleek design and swappable side panels that give you access to 12 customizable buttons. The fact that this mouse has three side panels (two-button, seven-button and 12-button) is what gives it its name. No matter your game or genre of choice (whether it’s role-playing games like World of Warcraft or multiplayer online battle arenas such as League of Legends), the Naga Trinity has you covered.

If you’re looking for something a little more basic, consider the Razer DeathAdder Elite. It’s one of the simplest mice in Razer’s catalog, but it’s still an exceptionally good gaming mouse for those who want to keep things simple. It offers excellent accuracy and high DPI values up to 16,000 DPI, with low click latency to ensure your actions are executed in real time without any delay.

6. Logitech MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless Mouse

  • Connectivity Technology:Wireless, Bluetooth, USB
  • Brand:Logitech
  • Series:MX Master 3
  • Color:Black
  • Number of Buttons:3

The Logitech MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless Mouse ($99.99) is the latest iteration of its flagship mouse. The fourth in the series, it’s a continuation of the MX Master 2S and adds little in terms of new features, but still remains one of the best productivity mice out there. It retains the beautiful design and comfortable fit you expect from its predecessors, and adds a few tweaks to make it even better.

The MX Master 3 looks just like its predecessor, the MX Master 2s, with a familiar contoured design that’s perfectly shaped for right-handed users. It comes in two color options: graphite (gray-black) and midnight teal. The latter option is a change from the previous generation, which only came in gray or dark blue. The midnight teal looks great with an Apple Mac system, but I prefer graphite as it goes well with my Windows desktop PC.

The mouse measures 4 by 3 by 2 inches (HWD), making it slightly larger than most other mice out there; Logitech also makes a smaller version called the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S ($79.99 at Amazon) for people who are traveling or have smaller hands.. It features side grips made of soft textured rubber that feel fantastic.

7. Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse

  • Series:Logitech G604 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse
  • Number of Buttons:6
  • Style:Mouse

If you’re a gamer and are looking for a great gaming mouse, read on. I’ve been using this mouse for about two weeks now, and it is absolutely my new favorite mouse.

To start off with, the battery life is GREAT. I love how long this thing can go without needing a charge. The only issue I have with that is that I don’t know when it needs a charge because it doesn’t have a notification like my old Logitech G Pro Wireless did (but maybe they’ll fix that in the future). The charging time isn’t too long though so even if you forget to charge it one day, you won’t be waiting hours to use your mouse again.

I’ve been playing Apex Legends with this mouse, and it’s great in-game as well. The button placement is nice and gives you a great range of options to play around with.

My only other complaint is the scroll wheel. It’s very “clicky” in the way it scrolls, but that might just be me being picky about things because the scroll wheel does function very well for its purpose!

10. Logitech MX Ergo Wireless Trackball Mouse

  • Connectivity Technology:Wireless, Bluetooth, USB
  • Brand:Logitech
  • Series:Logitech MX ERGO
  • Special Feature:Alcohol-Free
  • Movement Detection Technology:Trackball

I’ve owned several trackballs, including the Kensington Expert, Logitech M570, and Logitech M570. I’ve been curious how the MX Ergo would compare. Here’s my take after a week of using it.

Ergonomics: The MX Ergo is much more comfortable than the Kensington Expert or M570, even when I switch from left to right hand. This is due to its rounded shape and ability to tilt. I’m so glad that they finally included this on a trackball.

The scroll wheel feels satisfyingly firm and responsive, whereas the one on the Expert felt like it was wobbling too much (and was “notched”).

I’m not sure if it’s a placebo effect or not, but my wrist feels more relaxed with this tilted at 20 degrees rather than 0. I think this works well for me because I tend to hold my hand a bit higher than what’s considered optimal (see picture). If you tend to move your arm down towards the mouse while mousing, then 0 degrees might work better for you.

The thumb rest is large and provides plenty of support. The buttons are placed further back from the trackball than on previous models which makes them easier to reach without shifting your grip as much.

Buyer Guide

When choosing a mouse for video editing, you need to think about how you will be using it. Will it be mostly stationary? How often do you move around while you edit? The answers to these questions will affect which features are the most important to you. For example, if you will mainly be stationary while editing, then comfort is more important than a feature that allows you to adjust the DPI settings.

TIP: When shopping for a new mouse for your video editing workstation, consider getting one with a high DPI setting. This makes it easier for you to maneuver around the screen when editing video.

Here are some of the factors we considered when picking our top pick:

Comfort. Comfort is an essential factor in choosing a good mouse for video editing. A comfortable mouse can make long hours of editing more bearable and even enjoyable. Comfort is all about personal preference and what feels best in your hand. You might prefer a wider or thinner grip on the mouse or have different ergonomic needs based on your hand size and shape.

TIP: If you are unsure if your mouse is comfortable enough, take some time out of your day to try it out before making your purchase. By testing it out at home, you can find out whether it

Multipurpose DPI button – A DPI button is important so you can quickly change the sensitivity of your mouse from high to low. This will speed up your video editing process.

Buttons – The number of buttons on a mouse greatly varies depending on the program you use. For example, Adobe Premiere Pro uses different keys than Final Cut Pro X or Avid Media Composer. You’ll want to make sure whichever mouse you buy has keys that correspond to the most common ones used in your program of choice.

Tilt wheel – A tilt wheel allows you to scroll horizontally and vertically through your timeline without having to move your hand around to the side or bottom of your screen. This way you can spend less time moving your hands and more time being creative!

Price– You don’t want to spend too much money on something you are unsure of, but at the same time, you want to make sure the mouse is made well and will last you a long time

Weight– This will depend on your personal preference. Some people prefer a lighter feel while others like a heavier feel. It is important that you find one that feels natural in your hand.
