10 Best Mouse For Sketchup 2022 – Reviews & Guide

The mouse is a popular computer peripheral. The most common use of a mouse is to control a pointer on the screen, but it can also be used to move objects in 3D space, scroll through large documents, and even play games.

the mouse is one of the most important accessories that you can buy. It is something that you will use every single day, so it’s important to get a good one.

You need to make sure that it fits your hand properly and that it has all the features that you need for working. It also needs to be comfortable, because nobody wants to have a sore hand by the end of the day.

It should have enough buttons for you to use and be a shape that works with your computer setup.

Of course, you also need it to work well with SketchUp as well. You want to make sure that you can click on things easily and accurately, as well as use quick commands when necessary.

A lot of people use a trackpad or laptop touchpad for SketchUp, but these aren’t recommended. They are too small and don’t allow for much precision when drawing in SketchUp.

1. Logitech M510 Wireless Computer Mouse

  • Connectivity Technology: USB
  • Brand: Logitech
  • Compatible Devices: Linux, Windows, Mac
  • Model Name: Logitech M510 Wireless Mouse
  • Special Feature: Wireless

I have never used a computer mouse that has as many functions as this one does. It is like driving a race car. You can go forward and backwards. The scroll wheel works for side to side-scrolling on the screen, but it also has two buttons on each side of the mouse that can be programmed with functions from the Logitech Options software. The left button can be programmed for a double tap, the right button for a long press and release, and there are many options for customizing the scroll wheel clicks if you don’t want to use it for side-to-side scrolling or zooming.

With all these options I found myself accidentally hitting buttons or the scroll wheel when I did not intend to and then being confused about what had happened to my page. After fiddling around with it a while I think I have finally gotten used to it, but it was frustrating at first.

I also found that the battery life was not as good as described in the advertising material. Perhaps my hand is more sweaty than other people’s hands, but I found that after just one day of use, I could see corrosion on one of the batteries (I am using brand new Duracell batteries).

10. Razer Naga X Wired MMO Gaming Mouse

  • Connectivity Technology: USB

  • Movement Detection Technology: Optical
  • Number of Buttons: 16

I love this mouse. I’m not a hardcore gamer or anything, but I have been using the Naga Chroma for a while now and I absolutely love it. The buttons are easy to reach and when you download the Razer software (which is pretty easy) you can program the buttons to do whatever you want. I use the mouse buttons for Photoshop shortcuts and it makes editing a breeze.

The shape of the mouse is comfortable and has a nice weight to it. It’s big enough that my hands aren’t cramped but small enough that it isn’t bulky. The lighting is cool, but if you’re not into that then you can turn it off in the software as well.

Overall, this is a great mouse for work or play, especially if you’re looking for good functionality from your mouse in programs like Photoshop or Premiere.

What to Look in Best Mouse For Sketchup

DPI quality

If you’re a novice to Sketchup, you might not be aware of what Mouse DPI is. Simply put, DPI stands for “Dots Per Inch” and is essentially a measure of how sensitive the Mouse is.

The higher the DPI, the faster your cursor on-screen will move. For most users—even professional designers in other CAD programs like Photoshop or AutoCAD—a lower sensitivity (i.e., lower DPI) means that you have greater control over your designs and can select or deselect precise points on-screen with fewer mouse movements.

A higher sensitivity (i.e., higher DPI)—while it may seem more responsive at first—can actually make using Sketchup harder because when you try to pinpoint specific pixels on-screen, your hand movements are too sensitive and end up selecting other nearby points by accident; this can nullify hours of work in one fell swoop if you aren’t careful!

To find out what kind of mouse sensitivity works best for you, we recommend starting with a relatively low setting first: anywhere from 400-800 dpi should suffice depending upon how skilled

Operating system compatibility

When it comes to the operating system compatibility, you will want a mouse that supports most versions of Windows. Make sure that your mouse is compatible with Windows 10, as well as older versions such as Windows 8 and 7. Some other operating systems, such as Linux and Mac OS X should be supported too.

Mouse shape and design

The shape and design of your mouse is super important. Someone could have the most powerful mouse in their hands, but it doesn’t matter if they can’t hold it comfortably, or if they can’t reach the buttons easily. You need to be able to comfortably move the mouse around, and you need to be able to access all buttons quickly.

Look for a mouse that keeps your hand positioned comfortably while you move the mouse around, and which has buttons that you can reach easily. If a mouse isn’t comfortable for you to use, then you should look for another one; there are so many different types of mice on the market today.

The sensor is the most important part of a mouse, so you need to pay attention to what kind of sensor your mouse has. The type of sensor will determine how accurately the cursor tracks.

A good mouse for SketchUp should have either an optical or laser sensor. The laser sensors are a little more accurate than the optical ones; however, they cost more and tend to be heavier than mice with optical sensors.

Gaming mouse vs. Non-gaming mouse

The best mouse for Sketchup can come down to several different factors. First, consider what you’ll be doing with the device: will you be painting small details in detail shots or will you be moving around a large space in Zbrush or Maya? If the latter case, then it’s probably better to look into a gaming mouse.

This type of mouse is typically more expensive than its non-gaming counterpart but there’s no arguing its tremendous utility: it does everything that you need it to do and has custom buttons for special functions like grab and rotate.

Ergonomic design

Anyone who has used a computer mouse for more than about thirty seconds will know how uncomfortable it can be, and many of us suffer from mouse-related stress injuries. It is important to choose a good quality mouse that makes your work more comfortable, even after hours of use.

Look for a mouse that is designed to keep your hand positioned comfortably while you move the mouse, and which has buttons that you can reach easily.

You should look for an ergonomic design with buttons placed in natural positions. The 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator is a good example of this kind of design, as it moves in all directions but keeps your arm in the same position as if you were holding a pen or pencil, reducing fatigue and muscle stress significantly.

In the end, purchasing a mouse is a very personal decision. It’s recommended that you try before you buy, but if that’s not possible, make sure to research your purchase and ensure that it’s going to be the best mouse for your needs.

You should consider whether or not you’ll need a gaming mouse, how much travel you’ll need it to handle (and thus how much space it will take up in your bag), the sensor type and DPI level, as well as design aspects such as the shape and weight. All of these factors can contribute to what makes one person love their mouse while another hates theirs.
