10 Best Lens For Canon M50 2022 – Reviews & Guide

Canon M50 is a perfect camera for tourists, bloggers and vloggers, who are looking for a lightweight and affordable solution. But it’s not so easy to get decent photos with this camera. The reason is quite simple. It’s incredibly difficult to take a good photo with the built-in lens that comes with the Canon M50.

The Canon M50 camera has been designed as an entry-level mirrorless camera. As such, it has a wide-angle lens and limited zoom capabilities. The built-in lens that comes with the Canon M50 has a focal length of 18mm, which is equivalent to 28mm on full frame. This means that you can’t really do any zooming in or out on the Canon M50 without using digital zoom (more on that later).

If you want to get closer to your subject, you need to buy an additional lens for your Canon M50 camera or you can use digital zoom feature, which will make your photos look grainy and pixelated.

There are many different types of lenses available for the Canon M50 but they all have their own pros and cons. In my opinion, there are two main types of lenses: primes and zooms.

3. Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

Best Lens For Canon M50
BrandCanon
Lens TypeWide Angle
Compatible MountingsCanon EF-M
Camera Lens Description7
Maximum Focal Length22 Millimeters

I brought this lens after reading many reviews and comparing it with the Canon 10-18mm lens. I chose the 11-22mm since it gave me a little more on the close end and I already own a Tamron 18-270mm zoom lens which I use for normal photos.

I use this lens for my Canon EOS M mirrorless camera. The EOS M is a great camera for travel since it is so small and light weight but still gives fantastic image quality. My favorite feature of this camera is that you can use almost any regular Canon EF lens with an adapter, so all of my lenses are now compatible with it!

The ultra wide angle range of this lens works great for landscapes and nature shots. The edge distortion is minimal and easily corrected in Lightroom. It also works well indoors, especially when shooting in low light conditions. This was important to me since I do a lot of indoor photography at home using natural light or one flash unit.

The construction quality seems to be very good but time will tell if the lens holds up to prolonged use. The focus ring has detents which makes it easy to set manual focus without looking at the ring. The included hood is also helpful when shooting in bright light or using a flash unit.
