A lot of reviewers are comparing this to a Surface Pro, but it is not the same. It is not a direct competitor, in my opinion. It’s smaller and lighter in tablet mode than the Surface Pro 4, and I think it’s more comfortable to hold as a tablet. The Surface is noisier and hotter than the Flex 4 when running intensive applications like games. It also has a fan, which this does not.

The keyboard case is great. It snaps on securely with magnets, and it has a nice feel. The keys work well, too; they have good tactile feedback, unlike some other laptops where the keys barely move (I’m looking at you, MacBook). It’s especially nice that Lenovo included a backlight for the keyboard. The trackpad works well too.

One of the best things about this computer is its flexibility in terms of ports: it has 3 USB ports divided evenly between USB-A and USB-C ports (1 each), an HDMI port and a headphone jack! All of these are full size ports (no dongles required!). The screen has thin bezels, so there isn’t much room for ports around it. I think this is great because if you use an external monitor or mouse and keyboard.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a budget-friendly gaming laptop that offers more than enough power for playing today’s hottest titles. The black aluminum chassis is accented by red trim and red backlit keyboard buttons. The screen also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, which synchronizes the GPU and display to provide smooth, tear-free graphics even during the most intense gaming sessions.

Acer’s PredatorSense software allows you to customize and monitor your system’s performance and is preinstalled on the Predator Helios 300. You can configure lighting patterns, fan speed control, overclocking profiles and more.

The heart of the Predator Helios 300 is its 7th generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor. For demanding tasks like video editing or gaming, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU has 6 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM so you can enjoy fast frame rates in games at high settings.

5.Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop

Screen Size15.6 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10

The Aspire E 15 is a solid performer, and is the most affordable laptop we’ve tested with discrete Nvidia graphics. If you’re looking for a light and thin notebook that can handle your everyday computing needs and has enough power to handle light gaming, this Acer is a great choice.

The Aspire E 15 delivers outstanding battery life and good performance at a very reasonable price. For $599 (starting at $549), you get an 8th Gen Core i5 CPU, a discrete Nvidia MX150 GPU, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. That’s not as much memory or storage as you get from some other laptops in this price range, but the Aspire E 15 makes up for it with surprisingly good performance and long battery life.

The Aspire E 15’s discrete Nvidia MX150 GPU is the main reason to pick this system over similarly priced laptops. This midtier GPU handles 1080p gaming better than integrated Intel graphics, but it doesn’t deliver quite enough oomph for playing games at higher frame rates or resolutions. The display isn’t full HD, but that’s not a huge deal given its relatively low resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Overall, the Aspire E 15 offers an attractive design and solid feature.

Screen Size15.6 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10 Home

The Acer Aspire E 15 has a 15.6-inch Full HD display, which is a good size for most people. The 1920 x 1080 resolution is a great choice for most users who want to enjoy good quality content without breaking the bank in terms of price. The display includes an anti-glare feature as well, which is helpful if you work in an environment with lots of lights or windows that can cause glare on your screen.

If you use an external monitor for hours at a time, you will appreciate the HDMI port that is included on this model. You can plug in your monitor and use it as the primary screen while you keep the laptop screen closed. This setup will save battery life and give you more space and flexibility to work on more than one thing at once.

The battery life of the Acer Aspire E 15 isn’t as impressive as some other models on the market, but it also doesn’t require charging very often. It will last up to 6 hours before needing a charge, which may be enough depending on how often you need to use it away from an outlet. If not, it takes about 3 hours to fully charge again so that should be enough time during lunch or dinner breaks when not in use for extended periods of time without having.
