The main drawback of the Ryzen 7 3700X is that it has only four cores. This makes it less powerful than Intel’s best, the Core i7-8700K, at stock speeds.
In practice, though, performance didn’t seem to suffer much from having only four cores. The Ryzen 7 3700X seemed to run comfortably at 4.5GHz on all eight cores — even when stressing a single core. I also noticed that the 3700X was able to maintain its clock speed while under load even when my test system was doing other tasks like streaming music or playing games.

The Gigabyte X570 AORUS Elite (AMD Ryzen Gaming Motherboard) has been leaked through an online retailer and it seems like a solid offering for the mainstream platform. The board features a 6+2 phase VRM that is powered through a single 8-pin connector and looks similar to the X470 AORUS Gaming 7 WIFI but with a few improvements.
